Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority (GHCMA) is currently undertaking a flood study on lower section of the Mt Emu Creek from south of Skipton to east of Pamnure. This includes a section of the creek within Corangamite Shire, from Skipton through to Dixie.

The study will produce flood mapping for the creek based on computer modelling. This mapping will help to improve flood planning, preparation and response.

GHCMA is currently seeking information and knowledge from the community about historic flooding in the catchment, such as photos and flood levels. This information helps to ensure that the mapping produced by the computer modelling is based on real life.
