Consultation has concluded.
Timboon district residents are invited to have their say on a redesign of the town’s transfer station.
Residents are encouraged to look at the plans and have their say about how Council’s services meet their needs.
The Timboon site has an opportunity to be re-designed so Council can provide quality waste and recycling services for the future. The State Government ,under the new Waste Act, is setting up a waste authority to oversee the industry as well as other changes including mandating glass separation from recycling and Council will work with the new authority to meet standards and cut the amount of waste going into landfill.
Improving the layout and capacity of the Timboon facility is an important part of achieving those goals.
There are four options for altering the layout to improve the user experience and increased sorting options. These changes will ensure Council meet new requirements under the Waste and Recycling Act while also meeting other statutory planning and EPA requirements.
