Consultation has concluded
Corangamite residents are encouraged to have their say on the Draft Asset Plan which will guide Council’s approach to asset management for the next 11 years. The Plan will ensure our assets are maintained in a manner that allows us to effectively support the achievement of the Community Vision 2040 and Council Plan and to meet current and future demand for services in a financially sustainable manner.
Council's Asset Plan has been developed in accordance with the Local Government Act 2020 and Local Government Victoria’s Asset Plan Guidance 2022 to demonstrate to the community how Council’s stewardship of community assets will meet the community needs and interests.
How Council manages its assets has direct implications for its communities. Physical assets support the delivery of core services, facilitates economic activity and strengthens the community and pride of place.
Council manages over $0.64 billion of infrastructure and property assets including:
169 public buildings (including halls, public toilets, playing field amenities, community centres), heritage buildings and council offices and depots
2,195km of roads comprising 915km of sealed roads and 1,280km of unsealed roads
108km of footpaths
187km of kerb & channel
94km of pipe
70 bridges and 47 culverts
45 play spaces
22 monuments
